just because a beverage doesn’t contain sugar, it doesn’t have to be boring. For proof, try my special iced tea recipe:
4 mint tea bags
2 black tea bags
Pinch baking soda
4 cups water, boiling
4 cups water, cold
Lemon wedges (optional)
Place the tea bags and baking soda in a 2-quart pitcher. (The baking soda makes for a smoother, less bitter glass of iced tea.) Add the boil- ing water. Steep the tea bags for 5 to 10 minutes, depending on desired strength. Remove the tea bags and add the cold water. Cool at room temperature for at least 30 minutes before refrigerating to prevent tea from becoming cloudy. Serve over ice; garnish with lemon wedges.
